Pair a SmartCast Bluetooth remote, program a universal remote, or replace batteries.

Pair a SmartCast Bluetooth remote

1. Install batteries

   Insert two fresh AA batteries into the remote.

2. Power on your TV

   Use the power button on the TV itself.

3. Enter pairing mode

   Hold the Bluetooth or Setup button for 3-5 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly.

4. Confirm pairing

   The TV auto-detects the remote and shows a confirmation.

Program a universal remote

Common Vizio codes: 0178, 0030, 0056, 0205, 11756 (5-digit).

1. Enter programming mode

   Hold the TV or Setup button on your universal remote until the light blinks.

2. Enter the code

   Type a 4 or 5-digit Vizio code using the number pad.

3. Test

   Press Power to confirm. If it fails, try the next code.

Replace batteries

Most Vizio remotes take two AA batteries. Match the + and - terminals. Re-pair Bluetooth remotes if pairing is lost.

Troubleshooting

Remote won't pair

Use fresh batteries, stay within 10 feet, restart the TV, and remove old Bluetooth pairings via Menu > System > Bluetooth.

Buttons unresponsive

Replace batteries. Clear obstructions. Test with the VIZIO SmartCast app.

LED blinks continuously

Usually low battery or pairing mode. Replace batteries or complete pairing.

Lost your remote

Use the VIZIO SmartCast app, TV panel buttons, or order a replacement.
