Click To Continue Fix Wi-Fi connection problems on your Vizio Smart TV.

Fix in order

1

Check your router

Test another device on the same Wi-Fi. If nothing connects, the issue is your router or ISP.
2

Restart router and modem

Unplug both for 60 seconds. Plug the modem in first, wait 30 seconds, then plug in the router.
3

Forget and re-add the network

Menu > Network > Network Connection, select your network, choose Forget, then reconnect and re-enter the password.
4

Verify the password

Passwords are case-sensitive. Confirm by logging into your router at 192.168.1.1 or checking the sticker.
5

Try the 2.4GHz band

Some Vizio TVs don’t support 5GHz. Connect to your 2.4GHz network for better range.
6

Test signal strength

Move the TV closer to the router. If it connects, use a Wi-Fi extender or Ethernet.
7

Update firmware

Menu > System > Check for Updates.
8

Reset network settings

Menu > Network > Manual Setup > Reset Network, or factory reset as a last resort (PIN: 0000).

Alternative: use Ethernet

Plug an Ethernet cable into the TV’s LAN port and your router. Go to Menu > Network > Network Connection > Wired. This bypasses all Wi-Fi issues.

Troubleshooting

Check signal strength. Reserve a static IP for your TV in your router settings.
Verify the network is broadcasting. For hidden SSIDs, use Enter Network Manually.
Router may have MAC filtering enabled, or is set to WPA3-only. Try WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode.
Set manual DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in Menu > Network > Manual Setup.
