# Vizio TV Won't Connect to Wi-Fi? Fix Network Issues Now

Fix Wi-Fi connection problems on your Vizio Smart TV.

## Fix in order

  <Step title="Check your router">
    Test another device on the same Wi-Fi. If nothing connects, the issue is your router or ISP.

  <Step title="Restart router and modem">
    Unplug both for 60 seconds. Plug the modem in first, wait 30 seconds, then plug in the router.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Forget and re-add the network">
    **Menu > Network > Network Connection**, select your network, choose **Forget**, then reconnect and re-enter the password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify the password">
    Passwords are case-sensitive. Confirm by logging into your router at `192.168.1.1` or checking the sticker.

  <Step title="Try the 2.4GHz band">
    Some Vizio TVs don't support 5GHz. Connect to your 2.4GHz network for better range.

  <Step title="Test signal strength">
    Move the TV closer to the router. If it connects, use a Wi-Fi extender or Ethernet.

## Alternative: use Ethernet

Plug an Ethernet cable into the TV's **LAN** port and your router. Go to **Menu > Network > Network Connection > Wired**. This bypasses all Wi-Fi issues.
