# Vizio SmartCast Setup: Complete Configuration Guide

SmartCast is Vizio's smart TV platform for streaming apps, casting from your phone, and voice control. Set it up in a few steps.

## Steps

    Press **SmartCast** or **V** on your remote to open the SmartCast home screen.

    Go to **Menu > Network > Network Connection** and join your Wi-Fi network.

    Visit [vizio.com/setup](https://vizio.com/setup), sign in, and enter the 6-digit code from your TV.

  <Step title="Install the VIZIO SmartCast app">
    Download from the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com) or [Google Play](https://play.google.com) and sign in with the same Vizio account.

    In the app, select your TV from the **Devices** tab. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

## Troubleshooting

    Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (same SSID, same band). Enable Bluetooth on your phone.

    Force-close and reopen the app. Sign out and back in. Re-activate the TV if needed.
